Benefits of Working With Us
When you partner with California Intern Network (cain), you can focus on what matters most—running your business.

Our primary goal is finding the right student interns for you, and supporting you every step of the way, from recruitment to placement, and beyond. You won’t have to worry about human resources, payroll, or risk management details. And, you’ll have more flexibility in your annual staffing budget because student interns are University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) employees. As a full-service organization, we do it all. You select the students, set their schedule, and manage their work. We take care of the rest!

What’s more, student interns are an investment in your future. Those who work for you today could become part of your workforce tomorrow. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor bright, motivated students who want to learn more about their field of study in a real-world setting and who can bring fresh, new ideas to your organization.

Auxiliary
As Sacramento State’s non-profit business auxiliary, University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) creates and manages programs and services that enhance the University’s educational mission.

UEI’s investment activity also strengthens the campus by providing benefits that cannot be achieved with state funds. Examples include building purchases, federal research grants, and vital resources such as the bookstore, dining services, and campus-affiliated housing.

In the last few years, UEI’s support of Sacramento State has led to millions of dollars for teaching and learning initiatives, as well as greater classroom space for our students.

As an auxiliary of Sacramento State, UEI is exempt from the state bid process per PCC 10340(3). UEI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation governed by a board of directors in conformance with the appropriate state of California codes and policy directives of the California State University Board of Trustees and the Sacramento State campus administration.
